How to Use ProductDataCloud (with WooCommerce) – A Complete Guide

Learn how to set up ProductDataCloud and its plugins in just 10 minutes. Follow this step-by-step guide to streamline your workflow and elevate your online store's performance.

Quick Start

Get started with ProductDataCloud (PDC) in three simple ways: using the WooCommerce Plugin, creating a new product request via the PDC Dashboard, or integrating with our API. Follow the steps below to begin.

WooCommerce Plugin

Step 1: Register

Sign up for a free account at ProductDataCloud Signup.

Step 2: Install the Plugin

  1. In your PDC Dashboard, click Download Plugin from the left menu.
  2. In your WooCommerce admin area, navigate to Plugins > Add New.
  3. Click Upload Plugin, then upload the downloaded ZIP file (PDC WooCommerce Plugin).
  4. Install and activate the plugin.

Step 3: Connect & Sync

  1. After activating the plugin, locate ProductDataCloud on the left side of your WooCommerce dashboard.
  2. Log in using your PDC credentials.
  3. Select the product data you want to import (e.g., images, descriptions) and choose the product category (or categories) you want to update in your store.
  4. Click Save, then click Start Sync with ProductDataCloud.

Note: The sync duration depends on the number of products selected.

Congratulations, you just updated your shop with the newest product data from the PDC!

Tip: Run a Test Trial!
  1. Create a test category at Products > Categories.
  2. Go to Products > All Products, select 10–20 products, and click Edit. Add these products to your test category.
  3. In the plugin settings, set this test category as the target category for syncing.

New Request - PDC Dashboard

Step 1: Start a New Product Query

  1. Log in to the ProductDataCloud Dashboard.
  2. Click Product Data in the left menu, then click New Product Query in the top-right corner.

Step 2: Enter Your Product IDs

  1. Enter one or more Product IDs in the input field (separated by commas).
  2. Add the IDs to your query by clicking the button to the right of the input field.

Note: Once you press Request Data, you cannot add more IDs.
The PDC will validate your entries. You can adjust or remove invalid IDs in the next step. Once all IDs are valid, the PDC will process your request.

Single Product Image Widget

  1. Open Your Single Product Template
    • Go to Templates > Theme Builder or Templates > WooCommerce in WordPress.
    • Edit your Single Product template.
  2. Replace the Widget
    • Delete the default Product Image widget.
    • Drag the PDC Product Image widget from the Elementor panel into its place.
  3. Adjust & Publish
    • Configure the widget settings (e.g., size, alignment).
    • Click Update or Publish to save.

Products Listing (Archives Widget)

For product archives — like category pages or any other place you want to show multiple products.

  1. Open Your Archive Template
    • Navigate to where you manage your archive layouts (e.g. Templates > Theme Builder or Templates > WooCommerce).
    • Edit or create an Archive Template for category pages or product listings.
  2. Replace the Widget
    • Delete the default Products or Archive Products widget.
    • Drag in the PDC Products widget from the widget panel.
  3. Customize & Publish
    • Adjust the various settings of the PDC widget like layout, columns, and filters to match your design.
    • Click Update or Publish to apply changes.
    • Place the widget where you want to display a grid or list of products powered by PDC data.
Tip: Use Global Templates
Adding the PDC widgets to your global templates ensures changes are automatically applied across all product pages and archives.

1. New Product Query

  • Easily request data for one or more product IDs (e.g., UPC, GTIN, EAN, ISBN).
